New Sailor Moon anime to première this July
The Official website for the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Project announced that the new Sailor Moon anime, made by Toei, will première this July. It will be streamed worldwide via the Niconico service.
The new anime, based on Takeuchi’s magical girl team manga, was announced in Summer 2012 and slated to première last summer, but then it was delayed. The female idol group Momoiro Clover Z then announced during the Sailor Moon 20th Anniversary Event August 2013 it would stream worldwide this winter.
Nonetheless, the release date has been set and Kodansha USA’s general manager Dallas Middaugh reaffirmed, at the New York Comic Con in October, that the new Sailor Moon will stream on Niconico in addition with subtitles in 10 languages.
