Marvel’s Daredevil on Netflix gets its start date!
Marvel released a new poster for their upcoming Netflix show “Marvel’s Daredevil” on the internet. With this eye-catching beauty they also finally shed light on when we are going to be able to watch the entire first season of Daredevil from the comforts of our own homes. April 10th 2015 is the lucky date, when all episodes of the grittiest and darkest project Marvel has ever done will be free to watch for all Netflix subscribers in all territories where Netflix is already available, which also means most of Europe.
Will Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice be split into two movies?!
This week the picture above made the round on the internet and had fanboys everywhere in a frenzy. Supposedly a final screenshot from the end of the soon to be released Batman v Superman Teaser Trailer also reveals that the anticipated movie will be split into two movies, with the first one, now called “Enter the Knight” to actually hit theatres this year in October.
Well, it could be nice, I guess, but Variety film editor Ramin Setoodeh actually met the Man of Steel Henry Cavill at the BAFTA Tea Party in LA and was able to shoot that rumor down. Of course Cavill could be contracted to not reveal the split yet, but it seems a lot more likely the whole screenshot was a hoax to begin with and Batman v Superman will launch as one movie into our theatres in 2016.
Bonus Round: Setoodeh also asked Cavill if Ben Affleck made a good Batman (answer by Cavill: a “great” Batman) and if BvS will be better than the Avengers, to which Cavill replied “You’ll see.”
Scarlett Johansson is a Ghost in the Shell?
The Black Widow has signed up to play the lead role in Dream Works’ upcoming film adaptation of the manga masterpiece “Ghost in the Shell”. Rupert Sanders, from “Snowwhite and the Huntsman” is going to direct.
The project came to be largely because Dream Works head honcho Steven Spielberg is such a big fan of the manga and is now trusting Scarlett Johansson to turn this project into a bankable blockbuster.
20th Century Fox solidifies upcoming film slate
Fox started into the new year in a good mood and shed some light onto their film schedule. Channing Tatum is now 100% in as Gambit for a solo movie of the X-Man, which will hit theatres sometime in 2016. Next to that Fantastic Four 2 is scheduled for June 2nd 2017, the next Planet of the Apes movie is going to hit on July 14th 2017. Arguably the biggest news here is that the Assassin’s Creed movie with Michael Fassbender will finally make its way to us by December 21 2016, which hopefully will take the video game adaptation finally into new heights. The makers of the games, Ubisoft, are heavily involved in the creative decisions of the movie, which seems like a good idea. Now there is just the question which Assassin Fassbender will actually play, or if it’ll be an entirely new one.
Ant-Man Teaser Trailer hits!
After a few smaller views on Ant-Man Marvel shared with us the complete “human sized” Teaser Trailer for the upcoming Marvel Studios movie. It shows an aged Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) who passes the baton of Ant-Man to the younger Scott Lang (Paul Rudd), who seems to have to overcome a few self doubts before suiting up and being a hero.

Arrow and The Flash have been renewed
DC Comics CW hit shows Arrow and The Flash have been renewed for next season, which means season 4 for Arrow and season 2 for The Flash, which had been the highest rated premiere of a drama show for the network this year. Good news for DC TV fans. Apart from that creative also revealed that they are currently looking into doing more spin-offs, with possibly Brandon Routh’s Atom getting his own show down the road.
