DC CW Crossover Trailer
DC Comics mega, four series crossover event between Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, is starting tonight, so check out the latest trailer and get hyped!
IT’S HEROES VS. ALIENS IN THIS EPIC CROSSOVER EVENT — When aliens called the Dominators attack Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) speeds over to Star City to ask the Green Arrow (guest star Stephen Amell) for help in stopping them. Realizing the battle against the Dominators is bigger than they thought, they track down the Legends of Tomorrow, and Barry and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) create a breach to bring back a secret weapon – Supergirl (guest star Melissa Benoist). Once all of the super friends are assembled, they come up with a plan to attack but a shocking secret related to Flashpoint is revealed and suddenly no one is sure who they can trust. Meanwhile, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) wants to join the battle against the aliens but Iris (Candice Patton) tells him he’s not ready. Dermott Downs directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Andrew Kreisberg and teleplay by Aaron Helbing & Todd Helbing.
Fassbender Talks Assassin's Creed
Michael Fassbender talked a bit about his upcoming videogame movie Assassin's Creed with Empire Online. He was asked to describe his characters form the film, which he sees as absolute anti-heroes.
"It's not like Star Wars, where you've got the light side and the dark side. This is very ambiguous morally. Both of these parties – the Templars and the Assassins – are hypocritical at certain points. There are not clear-cut good and bad characters. I think it's a little more provocative for an audience to see that. You know, 'Should I be feeling that? Should I be backing this character?' That's always fun."
Sounds good to me. Still not sure if the film will work as good as I would like, but we will know pretty soon on December 21st!
What If The Death Star Wasn't Destroyed?
More than 15 years ago Lucas Film made an outline to figure out how the original Star Wars trilogy would have been different if the Death Star wasn't destroyed at the end of New Hope. I am not sure if they ever wanted to use this idea for maybe a video game or a novel, but Mr Sunday movies has the whole story for you to check out above. Very worth your time, if you are into Star Wars.
Jackman and Mangold Talk Logan
Talking to Empire Magazine, director James Mangold and Hugh Jackman talked a bit about their new approach towards Wolverine in the new Logan movie, especially after they already handled the character together in "The Wolverine" movie.
Mangold: “The goal was to make something human. We made an effort to scale back on the gloss and greenscreen.”
Jackman: "It's essential you see this as the story of a man who is struggling with mortality and legacy and whether the world has been better off with him or without him."
Sounds like the right choice to me. Logan has to be handled in a more grounded way to make up for the several missteps Fox made with the character, so I am pumped to see how the final Jackman Wolverine film will turn out. Going by the trailer, we could be in for something special.
Alien Covenant Poster
Alien Covenant is the return of legendary director Ridley Scott to the franchise he created. Alien Covenant takes place after Prometheus and bridges the gap between that film and the original Alien. Check out the first, very old school poster for the film above.
"Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the ‘synthetic’ David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition."
Emerald City Season 1 Trailer
Check out the first trailer for NBC's Wizard of Oz adaptation "Emerald City" which looks like a Game of Thrones inspired take on the otherwise very colorful world of Oz. Daredevil's Kingpin, Vincent D'Onofrio plays the Wizard (I think?!)
Looks not bad, even if I kinda miss the whimsy and really don't dig some of the redesigns, like the Scarecrow just being a muscly guy covered in straw.
