Check out the newest Geeky news of the week! Venom and Deadpool 2 have a trailer, Chris Hemsworth talks Thor and more!
Venom Trailer is here!
The long awaited Venom movie finally has a trailer and you can check it out above!
The Sony produced movie apparently does NOT tie into the Marvel Studios MCU, but maybe Tom Holland will cameo in it as Spider-Man, according to on set rumors. Nevertheless, the trailer shows that Spidey himself will probably not tie into Venom's creation in any way, which is a BIG difference from the comics. I wonder how they will explain why the alien symbiote has spidey powers now.
The trailer itself has a very serious tone and vibe to it, which I love, but the fact that we don't even get to see Venom for a second is a huge letdown. Apart from that very big and obvious bummer, I have to admit to liking the trailer quite a bit though. For a deeper look into the recently wrapped film e have to wait for a full trailer later this year.
One of Marvel's most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
Deadpool 2 Trailer
Deadpool 2's trailer dropped last week and you can check it out above!
The trailer gives us our first (awesome) in motion look at Cable and a well deserved, mustache related dig at Justice League.
Overall the trailer gives Deadpool fans more of what they want! Action, humor and 4th wall breaking (for me the last bit is always a lil bit too much).
After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry's hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor - finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World's Best Lover.
Chris Hemsworth Talks Thor After Avengers 4
Chris Hemsworth has been Marvel's god of thunder for almost a decade now! With Avengers Infinity War coming up this year and the Avengers 4 next year being billed as the end of the Avengers as we know them, the question on a lot of people's minds is: who will continue on with the roles and who will be gone? Hemsworth was asked about that recently on Channel 7's Sunrise in Australia.
"My contract's coming to an end, we've just finished the last two Avengers. Who knows what the future holds."
"We might have a conversation if there's another great script that comes along. But at the moment that's it,"
And to USA Today he had this to say:
"Contractually, right now — yeah, this is it. I’m done. I won’t be playing the character again."
I will be pretty bummed when the day actually comes that Hemsworth will hang up the hammer, but I was glad that he brought the character near to a lot of new fans hearts!
Jessica Jones Season 2 Trailers
Jessica Jones was the second of the Netflix Marvel TV shows that debuted on the streaming service and a surefire hit, with the tough as nails detective going up against her ex... a psychopath with mind control powers. Now we have our first look at the second season with the trailer which you can watch above!
Looks like another interesting season, even when I feel that it doesn't look as interestingly shot as season one, which was among the best looking TV of that year.
