Check out the newest trailer for Aquaman, some info about the CW Elseworlds crossover and a first look at Batwoman in motion!
First Look At Batwoman
Ruby Rose has been cast as Batwoman for the CW version of the DC Universe (Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Supergirl) and will debut this Dezember in the 3 night crossover event! There is also a solo series rumored for her at the end of 2019, so there is a LOT to be excited about for Batwoman fans!
Now, finally, we get our first look at Batwoman in live action, courtesy of the newest TV sport for the CW DC crossover event! You can check that one out above!
I really think Ruby Rose is a GREAT pick for the role and her Batwoman suit might be the coolest looking CW superhero suit of all time. As a HUGE Batman fan I am also stoked about the whole Batman talk... but if this actualy means a Batman exists in that universe, but is that good that everybody thinks he is an urban legend... or if the urban legends just means there is no Batman, just Batwoman, remains to be seen. Truth be told, I would hate the latter option. Even if we never see Batman, I would like it a lot more to know he is around somewhere in that universe.
The CW DC crossover event will take place in early December in Supergirl, Arrow and Flash!
Final Aquaman Trailer
The only DC film of 2018, Aquaman, is almost upon us! Our first trip to Atlantis in live action is only 3 weeks away and I couldn't be more excited! The newest trailer just continues to ramp up the excitement for me, seeing the trench, the underwater worlds and even smaller characters like Vulko in action. What a time to be alive, for a geek!
Check out the FINAL trailer for the underwater adventure above and check out archonia.com for all the Aquaman merch and comics you could ever need!
From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be…a king.
Avengers 4 Trailer Mayyybe Friday?
Avengers Infinity War was, without a doubt, the biggest movie of the year, so it is only normal that everyone and their dog is waiting with baited breath for any small nugget about the sequel, which will cap off over 10 years of story in the MCU and maybe even bring an end to the era of the original Avengers.
According to sources from industry insider DanielRPH on twitter, we might see the first teaser trailer for the film, which has finished shooting months ago, as early as this Friday! What will we see? A time jump? A movie about time travel? Will Thanos be back, or will there be another villain? So many questions... and to some of those we might get an answer... really soon!
Elseworlds Crossover Updates
With the CW Crossover coming closer and closer, fans have been debating if the Batman will actually be part of it in any way (I even questioned that just today in our first story, which came out before this one), and now we finally have our answer, due to an interview of the showrunners Mark Guggenheim and starts Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin.
“Our approach is: What does Gotham look like after the Batman has been gone for three years? So if you have the law and order, protector, and hope gone, what happens as a result? Some people are thriving in his absence because now they can start to do their own thing without the oversight. A lot of other people are suffering and they’re losing hope, and the city itself and infrastructure is falling apart. So it’s not a happy place. Our guys walk into a grimy, scary Gotham.”
“It’s a dead city. The way I sort of described it to Stephen is, it’s there but for the grace of God goes Star City. It’s the worst case scenario. The reason no one talks about Gotham is the city might as well be dead. It’s practically a ghost town.”
Grant Gustin teased the reaction of Barry Allen and Oliver Queen towards the Batman myth in the crossover.
"Oliver is like, ‘He’s not real! They’ve made him up! It’s a hoax just to scare the citizens.’ Barry is flabbergasted by that and all he wants to do in Gotham is meet Batman. It’s a pretty funny scene."
Stephen Amell also confirmed that Oliver Queen isn't exactly a fan of the Bat.
"Oliver is not enthused about the idea that there might be some other vigilante out there.”
Very excited for the crossover and I hope we might at least catch a glimpse of the bat himself down the road on the CW!
